Got Milk? ZCS is there to collect!
Reggio Emilia, Italy – December 23, 2015 – Zucchetti Centro Sistemi Spa (ZCS), a leading developer of IT, health, automation and robotics systems, recently launched ‘ZCS T7 Milk’ – a smartphone app for drivers that streamlines the process of collecting and delivering milk. ZCS T7 Milk was developed in Genero Mobile in just a matter of weeks.
ZCS T7 Milk took just two developers less than a month to develop. That includes learning the tool, writing the app, the Web services and synchronization business logic on the back end ERP system – an impossible feat in any other tool.

ZCS T7 Milk is a unique smartphone app that functions in conjunction with ZCS Teseo 7 – a backend ERP system also developed in Genero that targets the milk and cheese industries.
Dairies collect milk from anywhere between 500 to 1500 farms, with as many as 300 collections every day.
Gathering detailed information about milk quality is a statutory obligation and a formidable task at that, given the volumes. Consider that in the peak season, as much as 100,000 litres a day can be collected by as many as 10 drivers by just one dairy. ZCS T7 Milk greatly facilitates the whole process of gathering that information as well as planning the most economic delivery and collection route between farms.

Most important is ZCS T7 Milk’s tolerance to network outages – an inherent feature of Genero Mobile. Farms are notorious for their remote locations, poorly served by mobile network operators. Drivers need to be able to collect data irrespective of network quality, so ZCS T7 Milk executes and stores data on the handset when there is no network.
Such information includes load volumes, dates, times, temperature, types and PH levels. Logs of each delivery accrue historical data from the field for future analysis. Device sensors increase the amount of data gathered, and improve driver productivity by recording real-time data that is synchronized with Teseo 7 via JSON and RESTful Web services when network quality permits.
