Genero Enterprise – Four Js Maintenance Release Activity for July 2023

During the last month, the following FourJs Genero
maintenance releases were made available

Current Release : Genero Enterprise 4.01

  • Genero Browser Client 4.01.14, released on July 28th 2023.

    What’s new…
    The HBOX and VBOX elements have a new Genero presentation style attribute called packed that packs all child elements into the box,
    Provided there is no stretchable child element (such as a TABLE)

    Genero BDL with Web Service (BDL – JGAS – GBC – GGC – WCG – GIP) 4.01.04 is the bundle which includes:

    Important!
    The Four Js License Tools 6.00.14 are not compatible with the license controllers prior to 6.00.13, upgrading to Four Js License Tools 6.00.14 requires an update of license controllers (fglWrt/greWrt) to version 6.00.14.
    You can use upgrade-fglWrt or upgrade-greWrt for upgrading your license controllers. Please refer to the FLM manual for more information about this new version.

Note

A security issue was reported regarding Genero Application Server 3.10.x, 3.20.x and 4.01.x.
The issue has been fixed in the versions 3.10.20, 3.21.01 and 4.01.04 of Genero Application Server.

FourJs License Tools 6.00

  • Four Js License Manager 6.00.14 and BDL & GRE license controllers 6.00.14, released on July 17th 2023.

    Important!
    The Four Js License Tools only work with FGLGWS and GRE 4.0x.00, FGLGWS and GRE 3.21.xx, or FGLGWS and GRE 3.20 with compatibility mode enabled.
    If you are using version 3.20 with compatibility mode, FGLGWS prior to version 4.01.04, or GRE prior to 4.01.09 you need to upgrade your license controller using update-fglWrt or update-greWrt.

    The new Four Js License Manager 6.00.14 requires a license controller version higher or equal fglWrt 6.00.13 and/or greWrt 6.00.13.

    What’s new…

    • A better management of shared licenses which can now implement license reservations
    • On Linux platforms, you can use systemd to manage the FLM.
    • On Linux and MacOS platforms, you can redirect logs to the system log
    • This version of the FourJs License Tools 6.00.14 offers new options such as upgrade-fglWrt or upgrade-greWrt for upgrading your license controllers and import-license for moving licenses from one Genero 4.00 installation to another
