FRENCH HOUSING CORPORATION PURSUES DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION WITH GENERO REPORT WRITER

Paris, France – April 12, 2018 –– Les Residences Yvelines Essonne – a French social housing corporation – announced further progress today with its digital transformation initiative by replacing its ageing reporting system based on Oracle SQR with Genero Report Writer (GRW).

After a short test cycle, we were up and running with our ERP in a matter of weeks.

In the social housing management sector, reports sent to the outside world such as rental demands, expiry notices and work orders convey a company’s image and are of critical importance. Prior to GRW, Les Residences reports were long and complex to develop leaving much to be desired visually. With almost 30,000 notices sent each month, graphical appearance warrants attention.

This, along with SQR’s lack of a dynamic graphical designer, made writing reports a huge development effort. Adjusting existing reports was a nightmare too – producing simple things like duplicate receipts with corporate logos was simply impossible.

GRW was chosen for its graphical designer and programmatic interface, enabling seamless integration with their ERP package. As a result, the solution was deployed rapidly and without the need to retrain end-users. New features targeted at business users such as downloading reports to MS Excel, MS Word, Adobe PDF and XML formats complement the first-time ability to view reports on-the-fly via browsers and mobile devices.

Les Residences is a subsidiary of the Action Logement Group that covers the Yvelines and Essonne counties of the Greater Paris region. It manages 28,749 housing units, 21 homes and 3 student residences in 122 municipalities, employing around 660 people.
