Four Js Enters Business Partnership with HCL Software
Paris, France – January 27, 2022 – Four Js Development Tools and HCL® Software announced today a business partnership and marketing campaign to modernize legacy mission-critical applications in the database market.
Building on a history of collaboration, in April 2017, IBM® and HCL Software entered into a 15-year partnership that merged the best of their shared knowledge and teaming experience to accelerate the product roadmap and innovation of IBM Informix®. That collaboration has also resulted in HCL OneDB®, a cloud-native data management system, positioned to reduce IT complexity, while providing enterprise grade availability, scalability, security and performance.
“This new business partnership forms a unique combination of the Genero Low-Code Development Platform and OneDB for enterprises that wish to accelerate their digital transformation and transition to dynamic cloud-native applications.”

Modernize rather than replace
Genero Enterprise is the most common-sense solution for repurposing legacy applications that are too critical to tamper with, too costly to rewrite and too finely tuned to replace with 3rd party packages. By modernizing, rather than replacing these legacy applications, they are quickly refreshed in a fraction of the time, at a fraction of the cost, and with minimal disruption to users and the organization. Modernization rather than replacement protects the significant investment in business logic, developer skills and user knowledge enterprises have made in their business processes over the last twenty to thirty years.
New Development
Developers and agile teams can also create new cloud-native, database-driven enterprise applications, in a matter of minutes, days and weeks rather than months and years, yielding significant benefits such as reduced time to value, reduced operational costs, and improved developer productivity. These applications can be deployed as Docker containers with Kubernetes orchestration in just minutes for applications at the edge, on-premise, and in the cloud.
Genero and OneDB offer the versatility, reliability, and ease of use needed to address today’s need to accelerate towards digital transformation.

About Four Js
Four Js Development Tools was founded in 1992 to save software developers time, effort and money by rendering applications abstract and independent of technology APIs. Applications can be quickly adapted to emerging and future technology trends without the need to rewrite. Applications that were written 20-30 years ago still run today in browsers, on mobile devices, in service oriented architectures and in the cloud with little to no modifications. In this way, developers improve productivity by focusing on innovating in their domain rather than learning, developing and following short-lived technology APIs.
Genero is used by local governments, education, health and public safety agencies, as well as small, medium and global enterprises in markets such as automotive, banking, energy, finance, insurance, manufacturing, media, packaging and retail.
Four Js was acquired by Volaris Group in May 2021.
