World Wide Developer Conference 17 details 3 year roadmap

A representative sample of over 100 hand-picked delegates covering 21 nations across 6 continents, gathered in Cancun last week to discover the Genero roadmap and contribute to its future direction.

This year’s World Wide Developer Conference was a unique opportunity for select members of our community to meet with the management team and discover our plans for the coming 3 years. Ideas and implementation plans were exchanged between leading developers and support staff.

Hot Topics

This year’s event was split into a day of plenary sessions focused on the future roadmap followed by a day of break-out sessions covering advanced hot topics such as Cordova plug-ins, RESTful Web services and Web components.

Making and Meeting Friends

It was an excellent opportunity to make new friends, reconnect with existing ones, discover the beautiful Quintana Roo coastline and lagoon restaurants, have some fun and sing one’s heart out in Champion’s. It was also a rare chance to meet our muse, Olga… and collect an award for a lucky few.

Awards

The “Best Developer” award went to Terry Hackett of TylerWorks, “The Best Innovation for an ISV” award went to EFP and “The Best Innovation for an Enterprise” award went to ISSSTE. A special “Outsanding Achievement” award went to our very own Reuben Barclay. More on these awards will follow later.
