Associating apps to users

DB Sync user can be linked to applications with the Apps button of the toolbar:



Important:

DB Sync users can only be created/dropped and associated to apps, when using the DB Sync direct mode. With GAS/GIP mode, the DB Sync system automatically creates DB Sync users and app association, the first time the DB Sync client app connects to the central DB Sync service. In the GAS/GIP mode, users can only be modified, but they cannot be dropped in the user console. If you need to drop users created in GAS/GIP mode for testing purpose, start the dbsync_user_conf program from the command line with the -x option.

To link applications to a user:

  1. Select the user in the central table.

  2. Select the Apps option in the toolbar.

  3. In the Application selection window, select the applications to link to the user. This window shows what applications the user is currently linked to:



  4. Click OK.

The user is linked to the application.
