Usage
You use the upgrade-grewrt --patch command to upgrade the Genero installation licensing tools to the latest version. The upgrade tool is provided as part of an upgrade package available on the Four Js website. For details, go to Patching a license controller.
The tool will create a backup of the existing licensing tools, including the license controller configuration file (grelicense), before attempting the upgrade. The configuration file is copied as grelicense.old in the $GREDIR and as grelicense in the backup directory. The name of the backup directory has the following format: grewrt-backup-YYYYMMDD-hhmmss.
If a file cannot be removed, or a file cannot be copied, the upgrade is cancelled and a rollback
is automatically performed. The upgrade-grewrt --restore
option allows you to
restore the previous licensing tools by specifying the path to the backup directory.
For details of downloading the upgrade package and using the tool, go to Patching a license controller.
