Working with Genero Browser Client

The Genero Browser Client (GBC) provides the front-end for browser-based applications served by the GAS. Find out how to deploy and manage different GBC clients, whether they are new releases of the GBC from Four Js or your customized versions of the GBC created in-house.

An application's configuration determines whether an application displays using the GBC front-end; see Configure web applications for details. The topics in this section assume that you have configured your applications to launch using a GBC front-end. These topics explain how to deploy GBC runtime packages and how to specify which GBC client is used for an application.

Tip:

Existing desktop applications may require slight modifications to work properly with the GBC, due to limitations of what an application can do from a browser. For more information, see the migration topics in the Genero Browser Client User Guide.
