General Preferences
Set general preferences, such as text file encoding and proxy settings.
Select , then select (or, if you are on a Mac, ) to access these preferences.

- Host - the hostname or host IP address
- Port - The port number on which the service is listening
Browser Setting
In the Web browser path field, you can specify the browser to be used with the Genero Browser Client. Enter the path and filename of the executable of the browser that you wish to use, or select the file from your file system using the Browse icon. If this field is left blank, the default browser for your operating system is used.
In the Web browser options field, you can enter options to
be used when starting the browser. For example, to start the Chrome browser in incognito mode, you
would enter "--incognito
" in this field. Reference the browser vendor documentation
for information on available browser options.
Slow Networks
Select the checkbox to optimize for slow networks. If this option is selected, several components of Genero Studio change their behavior to reduce network traffic.
For example, if the current configuration is a remote configuration, Code Editor compiles the edited file locally using the DVM bundled with GST instead of the DVM of the remote configuration.
Users & Passwords
Press the Clear button to clear all users and passwords stored in Genero Studio.
Software Update
This section specifies whether this instance of Genero Studio is configured to receive update notifications for the software and / or documentation.
If update notifications are activated, the email address associated with the activation displays.
Click Reset to de-activate the notifications.
If update notifications are not activated, instructions are provided to guide you in activating the notifications. In this section, specify whether to receive software and/or documentation update notifications.
