Install Genero Ghost Client
This topic relates to the installation of the Genero Ghost Client (GGC).
The installation and licensing of Genero products requires you to read and accept the End User License Agreement, which can be found on the Four Js website at https://4js.com/end-user-license-agreements/.
The GGC package does not install like other Genero products. You do not launch an installation script and click through a wizard to install the GGC. Instead, you download the package and extract it to a directory on your machine. For details, go to Install the GGC package.
The Genero Ghost Client is also integrated with Genero Studio. See the Genero Studio User Guide for details.
To use the Genero Ghost Client API, you need a Java Development Kit (JDK). Make sure that your JDK version is version 17 or greater.
System requirements
For details about system requirements, refer to the Supported platforms and databases document (available on the Download page of the Four Js Web site) or contact your support center.

Install the GGC package
Follow these steps to install the package for the GGC.
You must have an installation of Genero Business Development Language to compile the GGC source files and libraries. Part of the installation of the GGC package involves running the script to set the environment for Genero BDL before running the script to build the GGC sources.
When installation is complete, see the Genero Ghost Client User Guide for configuration information and instructions.
