Genero 3.20 and earlier licensing tool compatibility
When using Genero 3.20 or 3.10, ensure the Genero licensing tools are based on compatible versions.
Genero Enterprise suite
Genero 3.20 and 3.10 products (BDL, GST, GRE, mobile, and so on) are compatible with licensing tools version 5.00. However, the licensing tools can be upgraded to version 6.00 if required for compatibility.
Configuration for compatibility mode is only required when:
- You want your Genero 3.20 or 3.10 installation to use a Four Js License Manager version 6.00.
- You want your Genero 3.20 and 3.10 installation to use subscription licensing.
Important:
At this time, you can configure compatibility for Genero 3.20 and 3.10 installations.
- When using Four Js License Manager:
- Four Js License Manager version 6.00 + an upgraded license Controller (fglWrt
or greWrt) to version 6.00 on each Genero installation on the server where
installed.
The upgrade can be configured as described in Configure licensing with version 6.00 for Genero prior to 3.21.
- When local licensing:
- License Controller (fglWrt or greWrt) version 5.00.
An upgrade to version 6.00 can be configured, as described in Configure licensing with version 6.00 for Genero prior to 3.21, if required to use subscription licensing.
Genero Report Engine for Java, C#, and PHP
Genero Report Engine for Java, C#, and PHP (GRJ) 3.20 and 3.10 products are compatible with
licensing tools version 5.00.
- When using Four Js License Manager:
- Licensing for GRJ version 3.20 and 3.10 must be managed locally as it can not be managed by the License Manager. There is no license server option. To use a License Manager, you must upgrade to Genero Report Engine for Java, C#, and PHP version 4.00 or greater.
- When local licensing:
- You must use the grxWrt license controller to manage licenses. GRJ versions 3.20 and 3.10 are not compatible with license controller greWrt used for version 6.00. For details about using grxWrt, refer to topics in the version 3.20 of the Install and License Genero Report Writer manual.
