com.HttpServiceRequest.beginXmlRequest

Starts an HTTP streaming request.

Syntax

beginXmlRequest()
  RETURNS xml.StaxReader

Usage

The beginXmlRequest() method starts the streaming of HTTP request and returns a xml.StaxReader object ready to read the XML from the client.

Supported methods are: PUT, POST, PATCH, and DELETE.

Warning:

A message body is allowed in a DELETE request, but clients may ignore it if they do not support it.

The request Content-Type header must be of the form */xml or */*+xml. For example: application/xhtml+xml.

In case of error, the method throws an exception and sets the status variable. Depending on the error, a human-readable description of the problem is available in the sqlca.sqlerrm register. See Error handling in GWS calls (status).
