xml.Serializer.StaxToVariable

Serializes an XML element node into a BDL variable using a StaxReader object.

Syntax

xml.Serializer.StaxToVariable(
   stax xml.StaxReader,
   var fgl-type )

stax is a StaxReader object where the cursor points to an XML Element node.
var is any BDL variable with optional XML mapping attributes.

Usage

In case of error, the method throws an exception and sets the STATUS variable. Depending on the error, a human-readable description of the problem is available in the SQLCA.SQLERRM register. See Error handling in GWS calls (STATUS).
