com.TCPResponse.getDataResponse

Returns a TCP response in binary format.

Syntax

getDataResponse(
   data BYTE )
  1. data is the BYTE variable that will hold the response data in binary format. The BYTE variable must be located IN MEMORY.

Usage

This method retrieves the TCP reponse in binary format into the BYTE variable passed as parameter. The method will read the TCP stream, until the peer closes the connection.

Note: The BYTE variable must be located IN MEMORY.

In case of error, the method throws an exception and sets the STATUS variable. Depending on the error, a human-readable description of the problem is available in the SQLCA.SQLERRM register. See Error handling in GWS calls (STATUS).
