Encode a license string

If you are not provided with a license string, you can take your license number, license key, maintenance key, and login and generate a license string using the flmprg command.

Important: This procedure involves a license string.
Start the command line interface.
  1. Open a command prompt.
    • On Windows®, open the License Manager Workplace window from the Start menu.
    • On Linux®, open a command prompt. "sudo" may be required.
  2. Type flmprg --encode-license-string license_number license_key maintenance_key login
    For exaample:
    flmprg --encode-license-string TAB#XXXXXXXX AAAAAAAAAAAA BBBBBBBBBBBB mynam
This command generates a license string, which can be used in license installation or updating.
