Encode a license string

If you are not provided with a license string, you can take your license number, license key, maintenance or subscription key, and login and generate a license string using the flmprg command.

  1. Open a License Manager Workplace Window.
    • On Windows®, right-click on the License Manager Workplace Window from the Start menu and select Run as administrator.
    • On Linux®/UNIX®/macOS™, open a command prompt. "sudo" may be required.
  2. Type flmprg --encode-license-string license_number license_key [ maintenance_key | subscription_key ] login
    For example:
flmprg --encode-license-string TAB#XXXXXXXX AAAAAAAAAAAA BBBBBBBBBBBB mynam

This command generates a license string, which can be used in license installation or updating.
