Project Manager build rules updated to include gremkstr

Starting with GSTRW 4.01.02, the gremkstr tool has been added to the default build rules of Project Manager, to compile localized string files (.str) included in the project. The gremkstr tool is provided as part of the Genero Report Engine.

To learn more about the gremkstr tool, see gremkstr.

Views can be used when generating reports

Views can be used as-is in report creation, as the Business Application Modeler does not require a view to have a Unique Key or Primary Key to generate the report application.

Prior to GSTRW 4.01.02, errors could be written to the Output Panel when views were used; this no longer happens.

Spaces and special characters are handled when extracting schemas

Spaces and special characters in database tables and views are handled when a schema is extracted.

Prior to GSTRW 4.01.02, database tables and views with spaces or special characters in their names or in their column names were not handled when a schema was extracted.

Changes in earlier versions

Make sure to check the upgrade notes of earlier versions, to not miss changes introduced in maintenance releases. For more details, see GSTRW 4.00 upgrade guide.
