Compute aggregates on the innermost dimension (computeAggregatesInnermostDimension)

The Compute aggregates on the innermost dimension property specifies whether values are aggregated for the innermost dimension of a pivot table. The innermost dimension is the dimension that contains the facts or values.

Type: Boolean.

Default value: TRUE.

You can find the Compute aggregates on the innermost dimension property in the Chart category of the Properties view.

Example

In Figure 1, the innermost dimension is "Shipping Area". On the left, the pivot table is drawn with Compute aggregates on the innermost dimension set to TRUE. On the right, the pivot table is drawn with Compute aggregates on the innermost dimension set to FALSE.

Figure: Computing aggregates on the innermost dimension

This figure shows an example of a pivot table with two dimensions (Product Category and Shipping Area) and one measure (Unit Price). On the left, the pivot table is computes aggregates on the innermost dimension. On the right, the pivot table does not compute these aggregates.
