Configure for Genero Web Applications

Use the default GWA provided by Genero Studio, or configure Genero Studio to use an alternate installation of GWA.

A full Genero Studio installation includes the Genero Web Application package, and the default configuration is provided by the Web Application environment set. This environment set is pre-selected by the default Web configuration.

If you intend to use the default GWA installation, no additonal configuration is necessary.

To specify an alternate GWA installation, you will create a duplicate of the Web configuration and create an alternate Web Application environment set.

  1. Select Tools > Genero Configurations.
  2. Select the Web configuration and click the Duplicate icon.
    A duplicate of the Web configuration is created. Rename this duplicate (if desired.)
  3. On the Environment tab, select the Web Application environment set and click the Duplicate icon.
    A duplicate of the Web Application environment set is created. Rename this duplicate (if desired.)
  4. Select the new Web Application environment set.
  5. Under Environment Variables, double-click the GWADIR environment variable. In the resulting dialog, change the Value to specify the path to your alternate GWA installation.
  6. With the new Web configuration selected, ensure your new Web Application environment set is selected and the original Web Application environment set is de-selected.

You have created a new Web configuration that uses an alternate GWA installation.
