Setting the interface theme

The selected theme sets the style and colors used by the Genero Studio interface. You can use one of the default themes or create a theme of your own.

Genero Studio comes with four default themes:
  • Dark
  • Hue
  • Light
  • System - Automatically matches the operating system’s theme.

To select a theme, go to Tools > Preferences (or, if you are on a Mac, > Preferences), then User Interface.

Use the Current combobox to choose from the available themes.

The Style combobox provides widget style options for custom themes. You cannot change the style for the provided out-of-the-box themes. See Qt Widget Gallery for more information about the widget styles.

Hue

Hue settings become available when the Hue theme is selected in the Current combobox or when a duplicate theme is created. Within the Appearance tab, the Hue color bar applies the selected hue across the GST user interface. The Mode combobox offers defined color options for Light or Dark hues, or Follow system settings, which aligns with the operating system’s current theme.

When the Apply to application icon checkbox is selected in the Advanced Options tab, the application icon reflects the selected hue. Selecting a hue updates the color selection in the Advanced Options table. When the selected colors in the table no longer align with the selected hue, the Hue setting in the Appearance tab becomes inactive.

To create a new theme:
  1. In the Current combobox, select an existing theme.
  2. Click Duplicate....
  3. Enter a name in the Profile name field.
