Report export options

Export options are set automatically for a report in a generated application.

By default, report export actions are bound to 4 buttons in the generated user interface toolbar: PDF, HTML, XLS, and RTF.

When the user clicks on a button, the action to export the data to the selected format is called. For example, clicking on HTML exports the data to an HTML file. Depending on the front-end, there are different options for handling the file:

With Genero Desktop Client, it is opened by the default program associated with the format on the system, or the program you select if there is no default.
With Genero Browser Client, a new browser tab is opened. Depending on your browser configuration, the document is either opened in the browser or downloaded.
