File Browser
File Browser is a tool to navigate, open, delete or rename files, and to create new folders or files on a file system.
File Browser manages files based on the kind of information that they contain (MIME type file management). File Browser launches the specific action or executable defined as the default for each file type, or you may choose between the actions available for that file type. For example, Code Editor opens for a .4gl file, and Form Designer for a .4fd file.
Open the File Browser with Files.
or . The File Browser displays in a view namedIcons indicate the folders and file types. If the file is under Source Code Management (SCM), the status is indicated on the icon.
To show hidden files in the File Browser, select , then select (or, if you are on a Mac, ) . Check the Show Hidden Files box.
You can associate file types handled by Genero Studio applications with predefined actions, and create user-defined actions.
You can locate the file in the System File Browser. Right-click on the file and select Locate in System File Browser.
