Create the data schema

For each report program, a data schema must be created. This schema identifies the fields and the grouping of data streamed by the Genero reporting application to the Genero Report Engine.

The data schema populates the Data View in the Genero Report Designer, providing a hierarchical representation of the data objects to be dragged and dropped into the report design. Within the report design document, you can select fields for placement on a report and setting report triggers.

Tools have been provided to allow for the generation of a data schema for an application.
