New dialog

File > New opens the New dialog, which allows you to create Genero files.

What do you want to create?

Project (.4pw)
Business Application diagram (.4ba)
Database meta-schema (.4db or .4dbx)
Form (.4fd or .4fd*)
Report design document (.4rp):
- From a template
- From scratch
Report data from wizard (.4gl)
Report template (.rsd or .4rt)
Report schema transformation (.rst)
Look-and-feel configuration file:
- Action defaults (.4ad)
- Top menu (.4tm)
- Toolbar (.4tb)
- Style file (.4st)
Application configuration or Web service configuration file (.scf)
Genero Archive MANIFEST
Tip: To have the MANIFEST file be recognized as XML, use the View as XML option.

Note: You can configure the New dialog by adding or removing items in the creatables.conf file. See Manage which items appear in the New dialog.

Tip: On Windows®, if you are trying to save a file name without an extension and the dialog demands an extension, simply enter the filename (without the extension) in quotes.
