Reports demo outputs
When you run the Reports demo, you determine the format of the report output, and whether it is saved to disk.
Output formats
The Output As section of the Reports user interface allows you to select the output format for your report.
- The report data is output in .pdf format. If saved to disk, the file can be viewed with an Acrobat® PDF reader.
- Genero Report Viewer
- In the Desktop client, an SVG file is created and displayed with the Genero Report Viewer (GRV). In the Web client, the report is displayed with the Genero Report Viewer for HTML5.
- Excel XLS Spreadsheet
- The report data is output in Excel™ format (older versions).
- Excel XLSX Spreadsheet
- The report data is output in Excel format (Excel 2007 onwards).
- RTF (MS-Word)
- The report data is output in saved in Rich Text Format (RTF), which provides a format for text and graphics interchange that can be used with different output devices, operating environments, and operating systems; more that just Microsoft® Word.
- HTML
- The report data is output in HTML format.
- Image
- Image files are saved to the GRW demo project directory
(Documents\My Genero
Files\samples\Reports\OrderReport). Images are named
image000#.jpg,
where # is incremented sequentially from
