Add headers and footers to a table

Add additional headers or footers to a table. By default, a table has a single header (Any Page Header).

About this task
Note: Do not use the Toolbox to add a header or footer to a table.
  1. Select the table and right-click on the table operations control at the top left corner, as in Figure 1.

  2. Select Insert Header or Insert Footer, and then select the type of header or footer.
    Note: If an option is grayed out, then that specific header or footer has already been added. A table cannot have multiple headers or footers of the same type, but you can add multiple rows to a header or footer.
