Creating a simple report
This example BDL program (SimpleReport.4gl) uses data from the officestore database to create a report. There are more complex examples in the Reports project provided as a demo with Genero Report Writer.
Output options
The output format of your report can be created as an SVG report, a PDF file, or an image. The output will be sent to the destination specified by the output options. Only SVG format reports can be previewed and printed from the Genero Report Viewer.
Generate the data schema (rdd) file
After you write or modify your Genero report application, you must generate the data schema (rdd) file. This file is a required input for the Report Design Document.
