Indent (indent)

The Indent property specifies the first-line indentation for the Word Wrap Box or Paragraph.

In the Properties view, this property is the Indent property in the Text category.

Type: Measure of Distance.

The default value is 0.

Word Wrap Box

For a Word Wrap Box, the value may be negative. A negative value specifies a hanging indent (all lines except the first line are indented).

Paragraph

For a Paragraph, the value must be positive. To obtain a hanging indent, use the Hang property. Indent and Hang are mutually exclusive. If both are specified, Indent takes priority and Hang is ignored.
