Install on Windows

Follow this procedure to install the Genero Evaluation Program (GEP) package on the Microsoft® Windows® platform.

The installation and licensing of Genero products requires you to read and accept the End User License Agreement, which can be found on the Four Js website at http://4js.com/end-user-license-agreements/.

  • Windows 7 / 8.1 / 10 (64bit)
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012 / 2016 (64bit)
  • Windows 7 (32bit)
  • Windows Server 2008 (32bit)
  1. Log in as a user with Administrator privileges.
    During the installation, you will be prompted to install for your use only or all users of your machine. You must have local administrator privileges to set the scope to all users.
  2. Double-click on the downloaded file (for example, fjs-gep-3.10.06-build157187-w32v140.exe).
  3. Follow the installation wizard prompts.
  4. License the product using the license number and license key found in your confirmation email.
    If necessary, you can license your product after installation by starting Genero Studio and selecting Tools > Genero tools > Genero BDL Licenser.
    Alternatively, you can license your product after installation by selecting the Genero Evaluation Program Licenser from the Four Js Genero Evaluation Program > Admin menu.
    Note: During installation on Microsoft Windows, dialog messages concerning the Windows firewall may appear. Accept the dialogs to populate the demo databases and continue the installation.
  5. To exit the licensing dialog, click Quit.
