Install Genero Container Image

This topic relates to deploying Genero applications using Genero Containers.

Genero Containers are docker images that come pre-installed with a Genero Business Development Language package, a Genero Application Server (GAS); and depending on the image, they may also include a Genero Report Writer (GRE) runtime, and database clients. Genero Container Images are optimized for the deployment and running of your Genero applications in any Docker environment.

A GCI does not install like other Genero products. You do not launch an installation script and click through a wizard to install the GCI. Instead, you pull the GCI image from the Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) repository.

For a list of the available Genero Containers and a guide to containerizing your own Genero applications, and adding custom configurations to your container instances on Docker, go to the Getting started with Genero Container Images Guide.

License requirements

Genero Containers require a standalone license, which must be requested from your local Four Js support center.
