Preparing to install Four Js License Manager (FLM)

We recommend that you install the latest version of the Four Js License Manager (FLM). New FLM support the latest Genero products, which come with the latest license controller software.

Older versions of Genero products require the latest license controllers to work with the FLM. You can find the latest version from the Four Js website. For more information, go to the License controller versions page to check version compatibility, and follow the instructions on Patch license controller using the upgrade tool page to download and install the patch.

When installing an upgraded version of the FLM, there’s no need to reinstall your existing licenses. You can choose one of the following methods:

  1. To transfer licenses from one Genero installation to another, use the import-license option as outlined in Import license from another installation.
  2. Alternatively, install the new version of the Four Js License Manager in the same directory as your current FLM, ensuring that your existing licenses remain unaffected, as described on the Upgrade the FLM without reinstalling licenses page.
