Install the Genero Mobile for iOS front-end application
Install Genero Mobile for iOS with Genero Studio, download and install from the App Store, or download the package and install from the command line.
The installation and licensing of Genero products requires you to read and accept the End User License Agreement, which can be found on the Four Js website at https://4js.com/end-user-license-agreements/.
Installation can vary depending on the host operating system. Ensure you follow the installation instructions for your host operating system.
Using Genero Studio
Genero Studio comes with everything you need to install the GMI front-end application onto your device. Follow the procedures in the Configure Genero Mobile for iOS section of the Genero Studio User Guide for installation and configuration information.
From the App Store
- Go to the App Store.
- Search for "Genero Development Client".
- Select and install the "Genero Development Client".

From the command line
- Install Genero Business Development Language
- Download the Genero Mobile for iOS (GMI) package from the Four Js product download page (visit https://4js.com/download/products).

Genero compatibility for GMI
Determine the compatibility of different versions of the Genero product family and Genero Mobile for iOS (GMI).
GMI 1.40 is no longer supported.
GMI 4.01 and Genero compatibility
When using Genero Mobile for iOS (GMI) 4.01, ensure the other Genero components are based on compatible versions.
GMI 4.01 uses the Genero 4.01 development environment (it requires FGLGWS 4.01 to compile the app). The runtime embedded in the latest GMI 4.01 is the latest FGLGWS 4.01; therefore, the GMI is compatible with the latest FGLGWS included in its package.
