GDC 2.50 and Genero compatibility

Ensure your Genero installation is valid for GDC 2.50.

Genero Desktop Client 2.5x will work only with Genero Runtime Systems 2.5x plus 2.4x, 2.3x, 2.2x and 2.1x for backward compatibility. It is not supported with Genero Runtime Systems 2.0x and 1.3x.

When using an HTTP connection through the GAS:

GDC 2.50 should use gdcproxy (wa) and requires a Genero runtime system (DVM) 2.50.

For those who connect through HTTP, Genero Desktop Client and Genero Application Server need to be on the same level; for instance, both would need to be 2.5x. Genero Desktop Client 2.5x is NOT backward compatible with versions 1.3x, 2.0x, 2.1x, 2.2x, 2.3x and 2.4x of the Genero Application Server, mainly for stability reasons due to the HTTP stack review.
