Display
Minimum video resolution is XGA (1024x768).
Genero compatibility
Genero Studio is compliant with Genero 1.3x and above.
Operating Systems
Genero Studio is supported on a variety of operating systems.
For a detailed list of supported operating systems, refer to the
System Support matrix (available on the Products download page of the Four Js web site) or contact your support
center. This matrix also informs you which operating systems will no longer be supported as of the
next release.
Java requirements
Java is required for Java extensions in Genero BDL, Genero Report Engine (GRE), and Genero Mobile
for Android™ (GMA).
On Microsoft
® Windows
®, Linux
®, and macOS™:
- To work with these products bundled in Genero Studio, you must install the latest Oracle® Java Development Kit (JDK).
Note: Starting with macOS 10.10, you
must install the latest Oracle JDK. The
system will ask you to install the legacy Oracle Java 1.6 for compatibility reasons.
On IBM
®AIX
®, HP-UX
®, Oracle Sun
®:
- You cannot run your Genero Mobile for Android (GMA) application using Genero Studio. GMA is unable to compile on these operating
systems.
- To compile Genero BDL with Java extensions and to use the GRE:
- For IBMAIX, install IBM Java 1.6
or higher.
- For HP-UX, install HP-UX JDK 6 or higher.
- For Oracle Sun, install Oracle Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.6 or higher.
Genero Mobile
Requirements for Android emulator
hardware acceleration:
Genero Report Viewer for HTML5
Notes regarding printing:
- Google Chrome is fully supported.
- Safari is not supported.
- For all other browsers (Microsoft™ Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Firefox), adjusting the
scale percentage may be necessary to prevent the insertion of empty pages.
