Determine the compatibility of different versions of the Genero product family and the Genero Desktop Client.
Genero Desktop Client 2.5x will work only with Genero Runtime Systems 2.5x plus 2.4x, 2.3x, 2.2x and 2.1x for backward compatibility. It is not supported with Genero Runtime Systems 2.0x and 1.3x.
For those who connect through HTTP, Genero Desktop Client 2.5x is NOT backward compatible with versions 1.3x, 2.0x, 2.1x, 2.2x, 2.3x and 2.4x of the Genero Application Server (mainly for stability reasons due to the HTTP stack review). Genero Desktop Client and Genero Application Server need to be on the same level; for instance, both would need to be 2.5x. If you have any doubts regarding compatibility between versions, contact your support center.
