GBC 6.00.02 new features and upgrade notes

A summary of new features and changes in functionality introduced with Genero Browser Client (GBC) 6.00.02. Note the changes you may need to make when moving to this version of the GBC.

Application list positioning

This version introduces the applicationListPosition presentation style attribute for the UserInterface element type. Use this attribute to control where the application list displays within the GBC application page.

The attribute supports two values:
  • left (default)
  • top

When applicationListPosition=left, the application list appears in the SideBarRail. This is the default.

When applicationListPosition=top, the application list displays in the ChromeBar. In this mode, the topmenu sidebar rendering options (topMenuDesktopRendering and topMenuMobileRendering ) are ignored, and the topmenu is always rendered in classic mode. The windows list is not shown when the application list is positioned at the top. This layout option is not available on mobile devices.

Regardless of the settting of this attribute, the SideBarDrawer remains available as an alternative way to access the application list.
