Genero Archive lifecycle

The lifecycle of a deployed Genero Archive involves six stages: deployed, secured, enabled, disabled, undeployed, and cleaned.

Each stage is defined below.
  1. Deployed - The archive is deployed but not activated. For details of deploying archives, go to Deploy an archive with gasadmin.
  2. Secured - Applications and services provided by an archive are available to authorized users only. Security is implemented by the Genero Identity Provider (GIP) and configured using the Genero Deployment App. For details about securing applications with the Deployment App, refer to the Deploying and securing applications and web services pages of the Single Sign-On User Guide
    Note:

Step 2 is not required if the application or service is provided for all users to access. You can unsecure a secured Genero Archive.

  3. Enabled - Applications and services provided by an archive are available to users. For details of activating an archive, go to Enable an archive.
  4. Disabled - Applications and services provided by an archive are no longer available to users. A disabled archive can be reenabled. For details of disabling archives, go to Disable a deployed archive.
  5. Undeployed - The archive is no longer deployed, and cannot be reactivated. The MANIFEST file is removed. Physical cleanup of the archive is not done. For details of undeploying archives, go to Undeploy an archive.
  6. Cleaned - The archive is physically removed. For details of cleaning up undeployed archives, go to Clean up undeployed archives.
