Deployment (production) architecture

For deployment and production systems, you must include a Web server.

A Web server:

• Enables load balancing.
• Handles HTTPS.
• Handles authentication. You can use the Web server to handle authentication. Alternatively, you can use a single sign-on solution.

You should have the Genero Application Server on the same machine as the Web server. If you already have a web server (server A) on the internet (a non-protected area / inside the DMZ) and do not want to have Genero on this server, you will need to add another web server (server B) to manage the Genero Application Server. This second Web server would sit in the protected network. The web server (server A) in the DMZ forwards the request to the internal web server (server B).

Production deployment should be supervised by a Web specialist to avoid any security issues.
