Activate license with FLM (via internet)

You activate the license by registering it directly with Four Js via the internet.

Internet is required

Before you begin: Internet access is required to activate the license; a temporary installation does not require internet.

The license must be installed but not yet activated.

To escape at any stage, type "stop" at the prompt and press enter.

Steps

  1. Start the command line interface.
    Open a command prompt.
    • On Linux®/UNIX®/macOS™, open a command prompt. "sudo" may be required.
    • On Windows®, right-click on the License Manager Workplace Window from the Start menu and select Run as administrator.
  2. Type flmprg -a info to get license details.
If a message is displayed that the license is temporary, the license needs to be activated.
  3. Activate the license (auto):
    1. Type flmprg -k lnum auto
Where lnum is the license number to enter. This command activates the license with Four Js over the internet.
    2. At the prompt:
      Enter your customer login >
Enter your customer login (may appear as "customer code" in the email from Four Js that contains your license details. If you don't have this email, contact your local Four Js sales office).
    3. At the prompt:
Do you need to configure an HTTP proxy ? (y/n)
Enter y if your access to the internet is through a proxy, and provide the required information for HTTP proxy, Port, and so on, when prompted. Otherwise, enter n.
The installation key is retrieved from the Four Js Activation server. License installation is now completed.
