Configure License Manager

To use the Four Js License Manager (FLM), you need to configure it, and configure the license controller of the Genero products that use it.

Complete these steps to configure and install licenses:
  1. Configure the FLM configuration file (flmprofile). For more information, see Configure the License Manager.
  2. Configure the Genero product's license controller configuration file (for example fgllicense) to use the FLM. For more information, see Configure a Genero license controller.
    Important:

Genero products prior to version 3.21 must be run in compatibility mode. For details of configuring the license controller for older versions, see Genero 3.20 and earlier licensing tool compatibility.

    Tip:

The Genero BDL license controller configuration file ($FGLDIR/etc/fgllicense) can be automatically updated with FLM server details when installing Genero on a UNIX® platform, as long as the FLM is installed and the option to use the FLM is selected during installation.

  3. Install your Genero product licenses on the FLM. For more information, see Steps to licensing with FLM.
