Making the GWS service available

Provide your Web service to users who can access it on the net.

Once you compiled and deployed your Genero Web Services Server application (see Web services server program deployment), it can be used by others to obtain the WSDL information and write a client application that accesses your Genero Web Service. See Steps to write a WS client.

Your company can provide the location of the GWS Server to potential users of your Web Service in various ways. For example:

  • Provide the location on a company web site

  • Register the Web Service with UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration) - the XML-based registry providing Internet listings for companies worldwide

  • Communicate directly with your potential users
