Software Requirements

The DB Sync framework needs FGLGWS, GAS with GIP and a front-end.

Genero License with dbsync feature

Important:
The Genero BDL runtime installation needs a license with the dbsync feature enabled. If the license does not contain the dbsync feature, you will see the following error in the DB Sync service program logs (GAS vm-dbsync_server-*.log): 
FORMS statement error number -6000.
 FLM-146 - Feature dbsync not available in license TAB#AC500004.

SQL database engine on the server

DB Sync needs an SQL database engine on the server side, that properly supports strict SQL typing and concurrent client connections. Consequently, it is not possible to use SQLite as database engine for the server part. SQLite must only be used by DB Sync client apps.

Genero environment and software requirements

  • Genero BDL with Web Services (FGLGWS) version 5.01+
  • Genero Application Server (GAS) version 5.01+
  • Genero Identify Provider (GIP) version 5.01+
  • Genero Desktop Client (GDC), or Genero Mobile for Android (GMA), or Genero Mobile for iOS (GMI), or Genero Web Apps (GWA) version 5.01+

Requirements for GMA/GMI

The minimum required version of GMA, GMI and GWA is 5.01.
