Volume Software wraps up SCA – N°2 consumer goods and paper manufacturer

Paris, France – April 6th, 2007 Volume Software, Four Js value added reseller providing business solutions dedicated to the printing and graphics industry, has wrapped up a major deal with the world’s number two consumer goods and paper manufacturerSVENSKA CELLULOSA AKTIEBOLAGET (SCA) – a Swedish based, 11Bn euro publicly quoted conglomerate.

By integrating several poorly integrated ERP’s into one tightly coupled solution – Volupack – productivity and visibility of the entire production process has been greatly improved. Volupack is a Genero based Enterprise Resource Planning solution interfacing with other Microsoft .Net applications.

By simply dragging and dropping events on a graphical console, the new schedule re-routes and appears in seconds.”

Volume Sofware were praised by SCA for a shorter and smoother than normal implementation timeframe. Volupack is a market leader in terms of ergonomics and time-to-market for the printing and packaging industry with over a third of the french market.

Volupack provides ‘front-office’ industry specific process features and ties into a ‘back-office’ SAP financial accounting system. Three centralised servers provide access to a relational database, while two others provide load balancing for the Genero application, which beyond planning provides costing, sales and purchase order processing, stock control, production, invoicing and shipments.
