initializer

The initializer property allows you to specify an initialization function that will be automatically called by the runtime system to set up the form item.

How the initializer property works will depend on whether the form is a BAM form, involved in a generated application.

For forms that are not part of a generated application

The initializer property allows you to specify an initialization function that will be automatically called by the runtime system to set up the form item.

The initialization function must exist in the program using the form file and must be defined with a ui.Combobox parameter.

For additional information, see the INITIALIZER attribute topic in the Genero Business Development Language User Guide.

For forms that are part of a generated application

If you are generating an application using the Business Application Modeler, the initializer field provides a string to use in function names when generating code to populate a combobox. See Define a dynamically populated ComboBox for details on using this property.
