Four Js Latin American Roadshow 2006 Software Design Innovation Awards

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – October 26, 27 and 28 2006 — During its annual Latin American roadshow, Four Js took time out to reward the year’s most innovative developments in terms of market approach and design.

In the idyllic setting of Rio de Janeiro, Four Js hosted the much coveted Awards ceremony at the Transamérica Flat Barra luxury hotel.

“Each year it just gets more and more difficult to attribute these awards,’ declared VP Latin America David Salazar. “Our development community is really pushing the envelope and producing products way beyond our expectations.”

Present during the event were many new prestigious faces eager to share experiences with the faithful that come each year to hear Four Js news and views presented by its senior executives and renowned guest speakers.

The morning session kicked-off with COO Bryn Jenkins describing Service Oriented Architecture implementations using top Canadian VAR Versaterm as a case study. The presentation covered a ‘before’ and ‘after’ scenario at the Candian National Police Force and how migrating their application to an SOA increased their efficiency in reducing crime. Latin America VP David Salazar, continued with a session on the top industry trends, followed by Pat Moore guest speaker from ANTs, who described the value of Genero db and its revolutionary design.
Alvaro Junckes, Brazilan Country Director engaged in an enthusiastic discussion of the economic climate and shifting business models, whereas Regional Technical Support Manager Oscar Vera continued with in-depth technical sessions covering the latest features of Genero and performance of Genero db.
Once the seminar sessions were concluded, the group reconvened to witness the much awaited award ceremony.
