Four Js closes new deal with Mexican Government for Hospital Information and Public Services System.
México City, México – 22nd September 2006 — The Mexican government’s Institute of Social Security Services for Civil Servants (ISSSTE – Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado) is expanding its Hospital Information Systems and public services operation with two applications developed entirely with Genero.
“The biggest challenge was managing the complexity of such a project. Getting so many different parties with very different philosophies such as IBM, Sun and Four Js to dance to our tune was the key to its successful completion,” said Vinicio Orea project manager, ISSSTE.
The applications underwent heavy quality control before its national launch to the 10 million civil servants enrolled in the system. Performance tests proved that the system would scale under extreme conditions and perform gracefully at loads of up to 10,000 simultaneous users.
“I never thought for one moment we wouldn’t achieve our goals. But there were times when nerves were frayed,” Orea added.“This project is obviously of key importance to Four Js,” declared David Salazar, VP Four Js Latino America. “Our on-site consultants played a critical role throughout the process of application tuning under such heavy loads in a high availability environment,” he added.
