Description
Due to continued growth Senior Care Centers of America/Active Day is seeking an  experienced and dynamic Programmer with Genero and Informix experience to join our regional team located in Louisville, KY serving our over 80 locations nationwide that help families successfully manage the responsibility of caring for elderly and special needs adults living at home while enhancing the quality of life for those in need of care. 

We are the premier provider of adult day health services in the country with over 80 locations nationwide we help families successfully manage the responsibility of caring for elderly and special needs adults living at home while enhancing the quality of life for those in need of care.  We also promote the client’s ability to remain independent.

Job Responsibilities:
•   Perform a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements.
•   Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.
•   Maintain and modify programs; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
•   Test and develop programming modifications.
•   Write new program code using prescribed specifications.
•   Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
•   Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.
•   Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs.
•   Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
•   Write and maintain programming documentation.
•   Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
•   Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
•   Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported.

Job Requirements:
•   Undergraduate / Bachelor of Science Degree.
•   Must have at least 5 years programming experience in Informix 4GL and Informix SQL.
•   Must have at least 2 years of programming experience in Genero.
•   Experience with Genero Mobile a plus.
•   Strong Unix/Linux with strong shell scripting skills preferred.
•   Preference for individual with health care industry experience.
•   Strong computer proficiency with MS Office.
•   Effective communicator with solid interpersonal skills.
•   Quick learner, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
