Festiva was under increasing pressure to revamp the ergonomics of several key legacy applications managing its core reservation, sales and marketing systems. With over 200 employees, suppliers and partners accessing the system daily – buying a new ERP was out of the question.
Genero Studio tools quickly identified over 20% of ‘deadwood’ out of the one million lines of original code. The interactive debugger alone saved many man-hours. Approximately 2,500 man hours were spent on the entire process, which was well within the timeline and financial expenditure budgeted for the project. The new apps look indistinguishable from any state-of-the-art systems.
A real plus included the Report Writer function that converts reports to PDF, Excel, RTF with font sizes and standard templates.
